Visitors to Huddersfield Parish Church will find the building more accessible from today thanks to a grant from the Diocese of Leeds Bishop’s Development Fund.
A generous grant from the fund has allowed St.Peter’s to purchase premium 3ft and 5ft ramps for use around the building, improving accessibility for all.
Use of the ramps means that access is greatly improved to the meeting rooms in the crypt of the building, as well as the popular Keys Restaurant and Coffee House, also situated in part of the crypt.
The Bishops Development Fund is a charity to help Anglican Churches in the Huddersfield and Wakefield Episcopal Areas to develop new mission initiatives. You can find out more about the fund and how to apply for grants via the Diocese of Leeds website by clicking here.
