This Sunday, 3rd January, there are a number of services at Huddersfield Parish Church.
The morning offerings are at 8.00am and 10.00am when we will be looking towards the Epiphany and the arrival at the Christmas scene of the wise men or kings. The preacher for this occasion is the Rev’d Dr Anna Wallis.
In the afternoon, beginning at 3.00pm, there will be a service using the names left from the Memorial tree at St. Peter’s. Hundreds of names and messages have been left during December and loved ones quietly remembered.
The Rev’d Canon Simon Moor said: “Each star or tag that decorate Christmas Tree is there reminding us of the love and memories that are so keen at Christmas.”
During the afternoon service names will be read out and candles lit as part of a simple ceremony of remembrance.
Additional remembrance may be made right up this Sunday afternoon.
