Huddersfield Parish Church was delighted to host the Huddersfeast Weekend, run by Huddersfield BID, on our outdoor performance space and the wider St Peter’s Park area.

In addition to a myriad of food and drink stalls catering for all tastes, there were also a number of entertainment options such as a petting zoo, face painting and live music.

Volunteers from HPC served team coffee and cake inside the church, along with a book stall and drinks and doughnuts outside.

Picnic benches covering the space provided plenty of space to relax and enjoy the atmosphere as thousands of people took advantage of the event over the course of the two days. In a first for HPC the 10am Sunday morning service was held outside – thankfully the weather held fair! – with a large congregation enjoying the Sunday sunshine.

With a band of live musicians at the front of the stage there was a slightly different feel to this Sunday morning, and we look forward to being able to host similar events in the future.
