Tuesday 3rd March saw recognition for the works undertaken on St. Peter’s Church over the last ten years.
Huddersfield Civic Society’s annual Design Awards gave the accolade to Huddersfield Parish Church as the development which they felt has contributed most towards helping improve the quality and image of the town.
The final award given was also to St. Peter’s Church as the overall winner out of five categories – Huddersfield Examiner Readers’ Award, best refurbishment, best shop front, best new development and best residential.
The Vicar, Arthur and Barbara Nightingale and Stuart Beaumont (Architect) received the awards on behalf of the Church Wardens and P.C.C. and they shall be presented to the congregation on Sunday 8th March at the 10.00am service.
