Islamophobia Awareness Month

During November our local mosques of various Islamic traditions and other organisations across our communities here in Huddersfield will be marking Islamophobia Awareness Month.

Rev Canon Rachel has been invited by the Huddersfield Council of Mosques, in partnership with Kirklees Council, to be part of a panel of speakers at an event hosted by Huddersfield University, launching Islamophobia Awareness Month in Yorkshire.

The event will be held at Huddersfield University’s Holocaust Exhibition and Learning Centre on Tuesday November 1st from 6pm. Canon Rachel joins other speakers from the worlds of politics, religion, the police, journalism, academia and youth representatives.

As we seek to live our Christian calling to follow Jesus’ way of justice, peace and equity we stand side by side with all those who are persecuted. Please contact Canon Rachel via our office if you are interested in supporting this event.
