The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, has launched the Church of England’s Digital Charter. The charter aims to help make social media and the web more widely positive places for conversation to happen.
“Social media has transformed the way we live our lives. As Christian we are called to engage in a way which is shaped by the example of Jesus. As we respond to the call on each of us to be witnesses to Jesus Christ, I encourage all of us to consider how we live our lives as witnesses online,” he said.
You can sign up to the charter as individuals or as churches, schools and community groups. Here at Huddersfield Parish Church we’ve signed up! Will you?
