Huddersfield Parish Church is looking for a gifted, committed and enthusiastic individual to undertake the role of ‘Choir Director’.
This remunerated post involves leading and training St. Peter’s choir as well as preparing maintaining and developing a distinguished musical repertoire.
Alongside the incumbent, and an established and professional organist, the successful candidate will help to develop and encourage other forms of liturgical music through groups and individuals.
The choir is made up of University students and other musicians, including some who have stayed in the area after graduation. Our vision for the future is for musicians from a wider catchment to further develop the music within Huddersfield Parish Church, where a high standard of liturgical dignity and quality sacred music have been the tradition over many years.
