Huddersfield Parish Church will be standing during the Huddersfield University Freshers Week looking for singers and ringers.

The choir has some bursary places for singers in any year of their studies and also hopes to attact other students who are interested in church choral music. St. Peter’s also is receiving individuals on a placement scheme from the University.

Likewise any bell ringers who might be coming to Huddersfield are being called to come to St. Peter’s tower to practise on a Tuesday evening.(7.30pm) We are looking to try some ‘Royal’ ringing this year as well as methods on smaller numbers of bells. There has even been discussions abround a university ‘society’ if there are enough ringers coming forward. Again trasining will be available for new interested students.
