Yesterday’s afternoon service at St. Peter’s focussed upon the Trees of Remembrance, which was full of names tags and stars as well as the list of names that had been left over December.

Some familiar hymns, readings, thoughts and prayer climaxed with the lighting of candles and the reading of names.

One worshipper was amazed at the number of names prayed for during the the service. But then, so many people had visited Huddersfield Parish Church during the Christmas period and remembered family and friend lost to them.
