A Day Before Advent

A long day at Huddersfield Parish Church.

Amidst Kirklees ‘Festival of Light’, St. Peter’s Christmas Charity Fair took place. Guests and friend packed the church. Some significant conversation and acquaintances were made.

Meanwhile, in Dewsbury Minister our vicar and curate took part in a service welcoming the new Bishop of Huddersfield into his area. The Right Rev’d Jonathan Gibbs opening address and photographs can be found with:

Back at St. Peter’s – a book launch. Anne Gyde has written of her experiences with a Kenyan orphanage. Anne signed and talked of her experiences in “Heart-cry for Africa’.

Then the evening, ‘Huddersfield Voices and Guests’ sing ‘Handel’s Messiah’. Conducted by Charles Rhodes, with Malcolm Hinchliffe on the organ and guest soloists, Emily Peace – Soprano, Sally Perkins – Contralto, Ben Inman – Tenor, James Berry – Baritone and Danny Mills – Trumpet.
