A simple invitation to a Choral Eucharist to celebrate Ascension Day.
There was a time in England when Ascension Day was a bank holiday. The Feast of the Ascension was one of those days when people were expected to come to church as a day of obligation. Now, it seems, that the Sunday After Ascension takes the greater precedent.
For the occasion, and then again on Sunday morning, Huddersfield Parish Church Choir will lead the Eucharist with Murray’s ‘People’s Mass’, while the hymns and readings reflect the season. The Rev’d Canon Simon Moor will preach.
All are welcome!
