Sunday 3rd February was the service when we said farewell to Elly leading the choir at Huddersfierld Parish Church. A number of old friends augmented the singing on this feast of ‘Candlemas’ with a Stanford’s ‘Nuunc Dimittis’ to conclude the worship.
A short presentation was made at the ‘peace’ thanking Elly for her years of service at St. Peter’s, first as a student singer and then as a leader.
A continuing welcome is guaranteed as Elly progresses in her teaching and singing career; her friends will miss her constant presence over so many years.
