Advent Sunday at Huddersfield Parish Church.

A new service booklet and the return of the ‘Merbecke’ setting. The lighting of the Advent Wreath and some wonderful Advent hymns. The church bright with the sun streaming through the windows and a gathered community for the beginning of a new cycle of the Christian year.

This evening a ‘Service of Light’, a mixture of movement, readings, poetry and music. Huddersfield Parish Church Choir sang beautifully and inspired us with a subtle mixture of pieces.
