Huddersfield laid to rest three of the soldiers killed at the beginning of May in Afghanistan. The service for Jake Hartley was held at Christ Church in New Mill and the service for Anton Frampton and Daniel Wilford was held at Huddersfield Parish Church.

St Peter’s church was full of people paying their respects. Outside the pavements and St. Peter’s gardens saw hundreds of people standing, applauding the funeral procession and contemplating the words being broadcast from the church service.
