Christmas 2011 will be another busy season in the life of our church with something available for everyone, and you are warmly invited to attend. Take a look at the list of services, concerts and events below and see when you can join us!

Trees of Memorial
Throughout December trees of memorial will be in the Church for you to record the names of loved ones. Why not take a moment to come to church and write a message in memory of a departed loved one.

Service of Light – Sunday 27th November – 6:30pm
A wonderful musical experience, led by the choir of the Parish Church in preparation for the Christmas season. Favourite choral music and Advent carols. A time for reflection!

Christmas Fayre – Saturday 3rd December – 10:30am to 2:30pm
Come and buy presents supporting local charities in the beautiful and festive atmosphere of the Parish Church. Many stalls and attractions. Refreshment and performances by local musicians. Father Christmas in attendance. Free entry! Switch on of the Christmas lights will be at 10:15am by the Deputy Mayor of Kirklees, Cllr Christine Iredale.

BBC Radio Leeds Christmas Service Recording – Tuesday 6th December – 6:30pm
Come and see your local radio stars in the flesh! A unique preparation for the Christmas season.

Christmas Memorial Service – Wednesday 7th December – 6:30pm
For anyone who is grieving this Christmas time, a gentle service with an opportunity to light a candle to remember your loved one. In partnership with the Huddersfield Funeral Home and Slaithwaite Funeral Service.

U3A Carol Service – Thursday 8th December – 10:30am
Traditional lessons and carols. Choir and musical additions.

Town Carol Service – Wednesday 14th December – 1:00pm
You are invited to the biggest and best free carol service for the town. With the wonderful sounds of voices, organ and brass. Organised for the town by The Huddersfield Society of Chartered Accountants.

Christingle Making and Service – Saturday 17th December – 2:00pm to 4:00pm with service at 4:00pm
For the young (and young at heart!) with parents and carers, come and make a Christingle, then a simple service with the lighting of your Christingles at 4:00pm.

Lunch time Eucharist – Wednesday 21st December – 12:35pm
A lunch time Eucharist service.

Crib Service – Christmas Eve – 3:00pm
The simple telling of the arrival of the baby Jesus. The crib scene is put together with the help of Children.

Midnight Mass – Christmas Eve – 11:30pm
Traditional candle lit worship to welcome in Christmas Day.

Christmas Worship – Christmas Day
8:00am – Traditional quiet early morning Holy Communion
10:00am – Worship for all generations with Holy Communion and carols

Epiphany Remembrance – Sunday 8th January 2012 – 2:30pm
Service to mark twelfth night and those whose names were left on the Christmastide trees of memorial. An opportunity to remember loved ones recently departed and in years gone by.
