After our interregnum, St.Peter’s Parish Church is thrilled to announce the appointment of the Revd. Simon Moor as our new vicar!

Simon was born in 1965 in Cresswell, Derbyshire. After seven years in business and industry, he trained at Lincoln Theological College gaining a Bachelor of Theology (Hons) in 1993. He was Curate at Skegness with Winthorpe in the Diocese of Lincoln for three years.

In 1996 he moved to Airedale with Fryston in the Diocese of Wakefield as Curate until 1998 when he moved to become Vicar of Hoylandswaine and Silkstone with Stainborough. He has held this post for thirteen years during which time the congregations of both churches have grown substantially.

Simon is a member of the Wakefield Diocesan Director of Ordinands Support Group and is the Bishop’s Advisor for Ecumenical Affairs.

We hope as many people as possible will join us at St.Peter’s for Simon’s Institution and Induction. The service will take place on Wednesday 20th July at 7:30pm and the more people who are able to welcome Simon to the parish, the better!
