Pedalling for St.Peter’s

To raise funds for repairing the ceiling, recently retired Julia Mercer will bicycle from the church to Canterbury Cathedral (292 miles). She will be leaving from the church at 10.00am on Friday 6 August 2010. Using the National Cycle Network, Julia also provides an example of sustainable travel. She is looking for sponsors so anyone on the route, watch out for her, especially in the Huddersfield area.

The Planned Route:
Day 1 Fri 6 Aug – Destination Sheffield
Day 2 Sat 7 Aug – Rainworth near Mansfield
Day 3 Sun 8 Aug – Rest day
Day 4 Mon 9 Aug – Loughborough
Day 5 Tue 10 Aug – Market Harborough
Day 6 Wed 11 Aug – Milton Keynes
Day 7 Thur 12 Aug – Hemel Hempstead
Day 8 Fri 13 Aug – Enfield
Day 9 Sat 14 Aug – Dartford
Day 10 Sun 15 Aug – Gillingham
Day11 Mon 16 Aug – Canterbury Cathedral
